High above, thick clouds of sulfuric acid form as if preparing for a massive storm. But as the acid droplets begin their deadly descent, something shocking happens: the surface heat of Venus, hotter than an oven at 475 degrees Celsius, causes the rain to evaporate before it ever hits the ground. It’s a ghost storm, an endless rain that dies mid-fall.
